DUNYA MUSCAT CEMENT LIMESTONE PROJECT

DUNYA MUSCAT CEMENT LIMESTONE PROJECT acquired on JUNE 7, 2020 and proposes to produce five commodities that are in great demand and facing shortages. These are:

• Cement white and black,
• Micronised Limestone,
• Precipitated Calcium Carbonate,
• Gypsum, and
• Micronized Dolomite.

The promoters have obtained a concession to exploit limestone reserves of about 390 Million tons with the possibility of securing even more in the future.

The components of the project are as follows:

1. Quarry (under concession) to mine crude limestone, gypsum and aggregates with complete earth moving, logistics equipment and ancillary facilities in quantities reaching 12.50 million ton/year quarrying capacity to be allocated to the following production lines.
2. A cement plant with capacity of 3.00 million tons per annum at start of commercial production, expanding to 8 Million tons.
3. A Micronised Limestone production plant with capacity of 1 Million ton/pa expanding to 3 Million tons.
4. A Precipitated Calcium Carbonate plant with a capacity of 1 Million ton/pa expanding to 2 Million tons/pa.
5. A Gypsum Factory starting at 3 Million ton capacity p.a. in 2022, expanding to 10 Million t/pa.
6. A Micronised Dolomite Factory to processing 1 Million tons pa expanding to 2 Million tons/pa
7. Seaport with bulk handling facilities to be constructed at Minji shore near AI Shuwaymiyah to receive raw materials and export the product outputs.
8. Fleet of 7 vessels of 50,000 ton capacity each to handle bulk deliveries and shipment of products which will give the project a price and delivery schedule competitive advantages.
9. Infrastructure including: Laying of 180 Km pipeline to deliver gas to the site,➢ Electric power station,➢ Access roads to the site,➢ Water desalination plant and storage.
