Engineer Caleb Makwiranzou has an M.Tech degree from the IIT Dehli, India and an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe.
He began his engineering career with Ministry of Transport and Communications as a Geotechnician Trainee in 1973 before going to University in 1978. In 1985 he re-joined the Ministry as Road and Bridge Design Engineer.
In 1987, he joined the Municipality of Harare as a Geotechnical Engineer responsible for the City’s Road and Buildings Geotechnical issues.
In 1988, Engineer Caleb Makwiranzou joined Brian Colqhoun and Partners, London, UK on secondment to get experience in the Design and Contract Supervision of Municipal Structures, which included Roads, Bridges and Water Reservoirs.
At the end of 1988, he was a founder member of CNM and Partners, a multi-spectrum consultancy company in the fields of Civil, Structural and Building Services Engineering. He worked as Managing Partner till 2002 (14 years). In 2002, CNM and Partners merged with YBJ Consulting Engineers to form CNM-YBJ Consulting Engineers. He was appointed Managing Director (14 years) to date.

- Africa Development Bank, 300km secondary road project inZimbabwe.
- City of Harare 3.5Ml Modified Activated Sewage treatment plant.
- All Africa Games Facilities Construction in Zimbabwe Engineering Team Leader. The facilities included Aquatic Complex, Hockey Stadium, Multi-Purpose Hall, Artificial Running Track and Turf.
- Zimbabwe Revenue Authority Vehicle Scanning equipment installation and buildings at 5 international border posts.
- 25000km Road Condition Survey for Zimbabwe StateRoads.
- Infrastructure design and contract management as Team Leader for 3000 House Townships in Harare, Zimbabwe.
- Study and road network classification to contribute to the Botswana StrategicTransport Masterplan Chapter for the 2020 PolicyDocument.
- Design and Contract Supervision for the Nsanje-Bangula 50km road inMalawi.
- Design and Construction Supervision for the Zomba-Jali-Chitakale road (120km) in Malawi.
- Housing Infrastructure (Roads, Stormwater Drainage, Water and Sanitation for Area43 Suburb in Lilongwe, Malawi.
