WEST RAND MEGA PARK project by PROTEA AGRI PARK (PTY) LTD acquired on August 27, 2022.The establishment of a food city and fresh produce whole sale distribution and processing centre in Gauteng,South Africa, and Africa.TOTAL DEVELOPMENT: 302 hectares, 1 100 000 m2 floor space

1. Bulk and reticulated water, sanitation, storm water, electricity, roads, security and gas and technological networks.
2. Industrial Park of 140 hectares with 130 stands, 1 806 factory units covering 718 113m2 floor space.
3. Container Depot for regional utilisation: 15 hectares
4. Truck Stop: 2 hectares.
5. 10 MW Solar Park: 20 hectares.
6. Urban Farm – high intensity small scale farming: 10 hectares.
7. Recycling centre for industrial and agricultural waste.
8. Food city complex: 79 hectares with 350 000 m2 floor space. Including:
   1. Agricultural markets- fresh products, meat, poultry, fish, flowers and dry foods.
   2. Cold storage, ware housing, ripening facilities.
   3. Consumer retail facilities including a liquor market, wedding center, funeral center,
   4. Educational facilities and agri and entrepreneurial training facility.
   5. Hotel and conferencing complex.
9. Comprehensive IT based operational, logistical and security networks.
10. Farmer and entrepreneurial support programs.

Development will be in four phases with phase one the food city with logistical component, which can operate self-sustaining. In the further phases, the industrial park and expansion of retail activities are intended.
