Waste to energy to water facility by Renergenc Limited acquired on June 7, 2022 to construct the first modular Waste Management Ecosystem – to acquire the equipment for the construction of the facility.
Renergenc Limited wishes to construct, owe, and operate multiple waste-to-energy-to-water (wtetw) facilities in identified sites in Ghana.
The project is a combined Waste Management, Energy Production and Water Production Business, which requires highly – specialized equipment and skilled, semiskilled and unskilled workers. It will require initial expenses and the acquisition of Non-current Assets with the installation and testing of plant and machinery and staff training.
The project will be phased over a ten (10) year period within which all financial obligations acquired would have been met. The project activities that would be undertaken would include converting wastes to renewable energy and water as part of sustainable waste management and potable water production.
The project is combating poor sanitation and lack of clean water, climate change, and increasing health and well-being whiles creating wealth for the African population.
There is the addition of a Carbon Capture, Use, and Storage (CCUS) system in the WME. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) emphasize poverty eradication and environmental protection. Consequently, actions are required in the renewable energy generation sector to increase energy efficiency and carbon capture through storage and utilization.
