Waste to Energy and Photovoltaic Power Generations: IIB-DG acquired Waste to Energy and Photovoltaic Power Generations on May 16, 2022 the purpose of project is CAPEX, to build multiple sites across the country for 200Mw for PV, spread out in three locations and 2 (Kinshasa and Lubumbashi) 300Mw and 200 Mw of WtE. This gives a total of 700Mw, still small in a country in need of 100GW.there is no PPA as the regulator will approve no PPA until all technical and bankable feasibility approved requirements need site location, all project players to submit their process (list is evadible upon request) before an offtake agreement and PPA to be signed. We will have a feed-in tariff: $0.20 for domestic and $0.30 for commercial customers to the offer directly to customers, and for the WtE the tons of waste in 2021, the generation of municipal solid waste (MSW) was 12.045 million tons per year, i.e., about 33000 tons/ day. In Kinshasa city, there is no Waste-to-Energy plant and twelve landfill sites. An estimated 78% of municipal solid waste is disposed of by landfilling, which causes secondary pollution and a loss of potential energy.
