SA WORLD GATEWAY PTY LTD 100 MW KINETIC ENERGY POWER PLANT acquired on September 16, 2022.

This project will construct a 100 MW Kinetic Power Plant at the Lords View Industrial Park, in Ekurhuleni. The generated power will be officially consumed by the Ekurhuleni Municipality as per the signed PPA with option to procure more upon build has begun. There are also very keen interests by the Lord’s View tenants such as The Forchini Group, Unilever,Equites, Improvon, Cochrane, etc. Less than a kilometer away there is NPC (https://ncp.co.za/), a chlorine manufacture with currently consumes over 56MW monthly which has indicated also interest to buy from SA World Gateway.

To prevent a total grid collapse, Eskom is forced to cut power to different parts of the country at a time. Last week Eskom entered stage six for the first time since December 2019, meaning it had to cut 6,000-megawatt hours to prevent a nationwide blackout. There are eight stages of load shedding – each stage means 1000 megawatts hours must be cut. This project will address renewable energy mix by producing base load power available 24/7 as well as creating much needed jobs.
