MADOSHI SUNFLOWER OIL PROCESSING FACTORY CONSTRUCTION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF SUNFLOWER PLANTATIONS IN TANZANIA: IIB-DG acquired MADOSHI SUNFLOWER OIL PROCESSING FACTORY CONSTRUCTION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF SUNFLOWER PLANTATIONS IN TANZANIA on MAY 25, 2022. The purpose of the project is to construction of a sunflower factory and purchase farms and installation of irrigation infrastructure in the purchased farms for production of raw materials to feed the factory.
This a US$ 120.0 million greenfield project to construct and run a factory, which will process sunflower seeds into pure refined edible oil and establish modern sunflower plantations in Tanzania. The proposed factory will have a seed crushing capacity of 400 tons per day, estimated to produce approximately 150 tons of refined sunflower oil and 242.2 tons of oil cake per day. The proposed factory will be located in Dakawa, Mvomero District in Morogoro region in Tanzania, East Africa.
