LAMU OIL TRADING & BUNKERING PORT – LAMOTAB by LAMOTAB KENYA LIMITED: acquired on June 30, 2022 for for Infrastructure capital expenditure for tank farm construction and operational expenses in acquisition of stock items plus operational costs.
This project aims at establishing a large-scale International Oil Trading and Bunkering facility (Free Oil Trading Port) at the recently launched port of Lamu-Kenya; to supply petroleum products to the entire regional Eastern, Southern and Central Africa markets. The facility can be further extended to offer Bunkering Service for all Ocean Vessels plying the Indian Ocean, as an alternative to United Arab Emirates. Lamu has a rich history dating centuries back as a strategic route for the Indian Ocean Trade. It makes commercial sense to have such a facility in the region to address the need for modern, optimized bulk trading facility as well as to offer re-fueling services to ships docking at the ports of Djibouti, Mombasa, Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Beira and the island countries of the Indian oceans (Reunion, Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles and Comoros).
