Gombe Power Solutions: Gombe Power Solutions (Private) Limited: Hereinafter “the Project Developer” is developing a 100MW Solar Power Plant at Tywford Estate situated in Chegutu, Mashonaland West Province. The plant would generate electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current (DC) electricity using silicon panels that exhibit the photovoltaic effect, and converting the DC power to AC by inverters that plug into a medium voltage (MV) transformer which is connected to high voltage (HV) transformer and then evacuates the produced energy to a high voltage distribution network. The Project is a 100MW utility scale solar PV project. The Project will entail the design and engineering of 184,615, 650Wp capacity solar modules, arranged in 3,692 tables (of 50 modules per table), for inverting purposes, modules will be arranged in 11,538 strings (each consisting of 16 modules per string; each 150kW inverter will take 14 strings). The design scope includes in the scope includes 800, 150-20, 100, 1000mVa power transformers, 2, 132kV step up transformers, heavy and light duty cabling, office, civil structures, system management and monitoring system, fail safe systems, boundary fence etc. and testing & commissioning of all system components and parts.
