COCOA PROCESSING PLANT by BEBIS CHOCOLATIER acquire on August 15, 2022.The project’s objective is to setup a Thirty Thousand Metric Tonnes Per Annum (30,000MTPA) Cocoa processing Plant to enhance the value chain of the abundant cocoa beans in Nigeria to serve local and international market. The raw Cocoa (a major cash crop in Nigeria) will be processed to produce Cocoa Liquor, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Powder/cake to serve as input into other beverages and food Industries and other factories in the sub region.

The cost of acquisition of the equipment is low compared with the overall cost of the project due to the fact that Cocoa is a seasonal cash crop which is sort after by International communities. Large sum of money is required to stock and maintain high level of inventory that would serve the company for about six (6) months. The Return on Investment (ROI) is good and very encouraging. Locating the project in Nigeria is to take good advantage of the Government policy of “Grow what we Eat and EAT what we grow” to show capacity in the processing of the Cocoa to Chocolate brand – Bebis Chocolatier. The large population of Nigeria and by extension the growing West Africa markets have great potentials to support the growth of the business once the project is funded and commissioned.
