Central African Government has indicated its agreement to seek financing on acceptable conditions for the construction of the Bangui M’poko international airport;
The Government of the Central African Republic Represented by His Excellency Arnaud DJOUBAYE ABAZENE, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation has signed MOU on April 29,2020, with IIB Development Group, LLC, a limited liability company of the District of Columbia whose head office is located at 1050 Connecticut Ave, NW, 5th Floor, Washington DC 20036 (“IIB-DG”), Government grants IIB-DG and privilege to carry out the development, design, financing, construction, commissioning, maintenance, operation and management of the Airport.
The parties agree to set up an SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle), under Central African law, to implement the project in all its phases until the end of the contractual concession period which will be defined later;
This initiative of the Parties constitutes a response to the will expressed by His Excellency Professor Faustin Archange TOUADERA, President of the Republic, Head of State, to boost the development of his country by concrete acts in accordance with the objectives of Development Sustainable advocated by the United Nations.
The implementation of this project will have positive impacts and repercussions on the overall image of the Central African Republic;
