IIB-DG Africa

The Government of the Central African Republic represented by His Excellency, Arnaud Djoubaye Abazene, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, and IIB DEVELOPMENT GROUP, a limited liability company of the District of Columbia, USA, have signed on July 11, 2020, 30-Years Concession Agreement to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain (DBFOM) the new international airport in the Central African Republic, known as the Bangui M’poko International Airport. It is expected to cost around US$600 million.

New Bangui M’poko International Airport will have a huge capacity and increase a million passengers per year following completion of the project. The new airport aims to leverage the tourism sector in the country and will become Central Africa’s largest International Airport, serving commercial flights destined to and from the greater Bangui metropolitan area. It will also act as a hub for the Central African Republic’s growth strategy and commercial airlines serving the region.

Under this Agreement, Central African Republic grants to IIB-DG the exclusive right and authority during the Term to undertake the design, build, finance, operation, and maintenance of the Bangui M’poko International Airport. IIB DEVELOPMENT GROUP agrees to undertake the functions of the design, build, finance, operation, and maintenance (DBFOM), in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
