Amanzi Corporation (Private) Limited by Mr. Chemist David Siziba acquired on August 18, 2022.

The Zambezi River pours 7000 cubic metres of water per second into the Indian Ocean. The project intends to harness up to 3000 cubic metres of this water per second to supply and meet the water needs of six countries of the SADC region in the first phase, namely Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The water will be used for agricultural (irrigation), mining, commercial and household consumption.

The current average regional charge for the supply of raw water is US$1.20 per cubic metre. The project intends to avail water to entire region at a uniform rate of US$0.60 per cubic metre.

At source, the water will be used to generate 650MW of electricity. Of this 150MW will be used to pump water from Lupata Tete Province in Mozambique to Marondera in Zimbabwe, which at 1680 metres above sea level is the highest flat point in Southern Africa. Therefore the water will be gravitated throughout the regional assisted with pumps to control and measure water flow.
